Course Details
Responsible service of alcohol (known as RSA) training is a form of education provided to servers and sellers of alcohol to prevent intoxication, drunk driving and underage drinking. Course Duration 4 hours
Who should attend?
All staff engaged in the Sale, Service or Display of Alcohol during their working day

Course Objectives
On completion of this course participants will be able to:
  • Recognise key aspects of the Intoxicating Liquor Act
  • Apply techniques to help prevent of alcohol sales to under 18s/ Age Card
  • Refusal to serve alcohol to intoxicated customers
  • Understand key aspects of handling difficult people & situations
  • Develop a House Policy
  • Learn Facts about alcohol and its effects on the body
  • Your Responsibilities – Techniques on Monitoring your Bar Area

    Responsible Serving of Alcohol (RSA) Online training is carried in a 4 hour on-site group workshop. It provides participants with the knowledge and confidence to handle difficult situations surrounding the service of alcohol and most importantly to deal with customers in a safe and lawful manner.

Methods of training
This course combines lecture methods with “hands-on” practical work with different types of materials.

Assessment/Certification:
Each participant will be assessed throughout the course. Individual & group quizzes as well as a short exam.
